  I know a lot of people who literally crave for the blessing of Sri Babaji , His instructions, personal teachings and His company.
And there are some who downright deny Him and everything He represents without a second thought.
To some, He is Mahavatar Babaji Paramhansa Yogananda wrote about in his famous book. Sri Babaji was asked over and over again if He is the Mahavatar form Yogananda's book. His conformation, given once, didn't seem to be enough.
To others still He is just an advanced yogi, a mayavadi, a monist.
To his disciples and those He Himself blessed and showered His mercy upon, He is direct manifestation of Sadasiva and Sri Krsna.
Sri Babaji says:
"I am nobody and nothing. This body has no meaning. I am only a mirror in which you can perceive yourselves. I am like fire. Don't stay too far away
or you will not feel the warmth. But don't come too close either for you will get burnt."
"Sitting here at Haidakhan, Mahaprabhuji has control over every particle of the Creation by the power of His mere wish, by His every thought. Mahaprabhuji has control over the elements, the spiritual world - to say nothing of the world of men. He is the Creator, Sustainer and Destroyer of the world.
Not a single blade of grass can grow but that He wills it..."
It is in vain to speculate about Him. It is His mercy that we need in order to understand Him. It is His presence that matters, not texts about Him.
One of His disciples asked Him if He was the Mahavatar form The Yogananda's book. He responded:
"Is my presence not proof enough? Why do you have to waste your time with literal knowledge?"
It is the same with everything else: His teachings, His instructions and His guidance. When He is present in the heart, there is no need for speculating, reading and other mental activities. Everything just falls into place, fluidly and naturally. This is the true Greatness of Sri Babaji.
