Various teachings spring from our Eternally Youthful Gurudev, Sri Babaji, and there are several groups in the world today which claim to be inspired by the Great Master.
Although almost all of those groups and organizations claim that only "their" Babaji is the "real" Babaji, this can never be true, for Sri Babaji has always been, is and will always be giving His Mercy to anyone qualified / liberated enough.
No exclusive rights for anyone, for His Love knows no limits.
Sri Babaji always works from behind the scenes and rarely manifest Himself publicly.
He mostly works through His disciples. That was the case with Lahiri Mahasaya, the great Kriya Yoga master.

From 1970 to 1984, however, He was publicly teaching and was accessible to everyone in His ashram in Haidakhan.
There are written documents (mostly in Hindi), and accounts of personal experiences about His previous manifestations. One of these manifestations is known as the "Old Herakhan Baba" (Herakhan is the name of a village, known also as Haidakhan).
Sri Babaji was present to His devotees in this Form from 1800 to 1922. It was in that Form that He initiated Lahiri Mahasaya into Kriya Yoga practice.

There are personal accounts of His activities from that period. One of the stories was related by Gangotri Baba, great saint from Himalayas. Old Herakhan Baba gave him tulasi mala in 1922, for safe keeping, saying: ""I will take it back when I come next time." Read the whole story here >>
In 1972, Gangotri Baba was inspired to leave Himalayas and came to Vrindaban, to have Sri Babaji's darshan. It was then that Gangotri Baba gave back the tulasi mala, which Sri Babaji had given him in 1922. Read the whole story here >>

There area also accounts about Sri Babaji's even earlier manifestations. Sri Babaji Himself has told about His previous manifestations as one of the teachers of Sri Shankacarya, Jesus and Kabir.

He also hinted at His manifestation as Milarepa. It is said that He was present on earth at least 5000 years back in the time of Mahabharata and even before that, in the time of Lord Rama.

Sri Babaji is one, His manifestations are many, no doubt.
It is up to His devotees and disciples to realize His true identity and nature. No amount of mental speculation and reading will do...
